Gemma Challenger studied fine art painting at Brighton University. She now lives in Brighton where she continues to work as an artist and illustrator. Gemma is interested in the concepts of time, the seasons and the interrelationship and connections between humans and the natural world.
Her work responds to the environment around her and she enjoys watching how it changes from her vantage point. She works in a variety of mediums including pencil, watercolour, ink and oils. Gemma produces fine art prints of her work which can be purchased in her shop.
Gemma also scans in her original artwork and from this she creates repeat patterns and digital collage which are then printed onto a variety of surfaces including material for lampshades, tea towels and cards.
In addition Gemma has created artwork and illustrations for charities, universities, business’s and individuals. Please get in touch if you would like to commission work, discuss a project or collaboration or licence one of her designs.
